I am so glad to have found the Washington TAWL group listed in Talking Points. I have been a member of WLU since its inception, have served on the board and am the former co-editor of Talking Points. In the past, I helped to organized TAWL groups in New Mexico and Maryland. I teach at Towson University and live in Columbia, MD. I would to meet all of you and hope to attend upcoming meetings. I am impressed with the Washington, D.C. Area TAWL Group website. You have provided D.C. area educators an opportunity to join a supportive network with colleagues who are interested in learning more about and/or apply whole language theory and practice in their classrooms.
